The Central Intelligence Agency adopted a policy in the 1960's to label alternative information, analysis and narratives about important events as "conspiracy theories."

They were concerned that investigators might uncover the real facts of the Kennedy assassination conspiracy and expose the fraudulent Warren Commission Report.

This has become standard procedure in regard to staged operations. Promoting a conspiracy theory label through their "Operation Mockingbird" controlled media outlets, the intention was to discredit any explanation that varied from the official narrative of an event as "off the wall".

Those putting forth a "conspiracy theory" are depicted as screwballs whose ideas should be ridiculed and dismissed. Elite planners and their agents want to steer legitimate analysis by people with appropriate expertise from looking into the matter any further.
